ANGEL MORSI

Born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Angel Morsi, an artist from Rio de Janeiro, started her participation in elementary school shows and freshman contests in clubs in the neighborhood where she lived as a child.
Actress since adolescence, she joined the Amateur Theater Group at Colégio Pedro II - GRUTAPE - where she was the main founder, improving her studies later, and after graduating, with great masters of scenic arts, singing and dance in Brazil and the world .
Her talent stood out in shows at the Teatro da Juventude in Rio de Janeiro, where she studied for years at the Stanislavski System, culminating with a one-year national tour of the musical O Mágico de Oz, when she traveled all over Brazil playing the girl protagonist.
He studied interpretation, singing, classical ballet, jazz dance, tap, modern ballet, afro, modern dance, with renowned teachers, and began to achieve success by joining the musical Aí Vem O Dilúvio, a major international production at Teatro Carlos Gomes. From then onwards, there were several great musicals in which he performed, thrilling audiences. He studied the Actors Studio Acting 'Method' with Madeleine Tornthon-Sherwood (AC teacher and lifetime member prepared by Elia Kazan, founder of Actors Studio). Angel Morsi also taught his own Free Courses applying these famous acting techniques.

Angel performed well in important productions, gaining public recognition in pieces such as Vargas; the musicals A Chorus Line and Charity Meu Amor (both produced in Brazil under Broadway/USA supervision); Exorbitances, Uma Farândola Musical (which started the notorious and intensive studies, dramatized readings and a Seminar on Nelson Rodrigues with Os Privilegiados); In the Times of Martins; Peep Show; Francisco de Assis, O Musical (Brazil and Italy), among his main works. In Espírito Olímpico, Angel was introduced to the puppet theater media at the Brazilian Olympic Committee – COB, playing two characters simultaneously in this play for student audiences. With the revival Uma Festa Privilegiada, he celebrated with most of his colleagues and members of the famous Rio de Janeiro theater repertoire company Os Privilegiados, a reinterpretation of the greatest hits of 20 years of this group founded by Antonio Abujamra, at Teatro Cacilda Becker.
In cinema, he acted in national and international productions, with greater emphasis on A Ópera do Malandro (Brazil – France – USA); and Lambada a Dança Proibida/Forbidden Dance (USA) produced by the 21st Century studios in Hollywood, a North American city where the actress has also worked as a guest artist, master of ceremonies and soloist in Brazilian music, samba and folklore shows at conventions, events and galas for stars of the television and film industry worldwide.
Angel Morsi has successfully worked in theatre, cinema, radio and television, with special appearances on TV Globo Internacional in the soap opera A Força de Um Desejo and in the programs Os Trapalhões, Linha Direta and Brava Gente.

From this play there were several great musicals that she starred thrilling audiences. She attended the 'method' of Actors Studio Acting Techniques with Madeleine Tornthon-Sherwood (teacher and lifelong member of AC prepared by Elia Kazan Actors Studio's founder himself). Angel Morsi also taught her own free courses applying these famous Actors Studio's acting technique.
Angel had great leading performances and important assembles, gaining public recognition in musical plays like: Vargas; A Chorus Line and Charity Sweet Charity (both produced in Brazil under the supervision of Broadway / USA); Exorbitances, A Musical Farandola (play which she began the notorious and intensive studies, dramatized readings and seminar on Nelson Rodrigues with "The Privileged"); In Martins Times; Peep Show; Francis of Assisi, The Musical (Brazil and Italy), between her main works. In Olympic Spirit, Angel was introduced to puppetry media in the Brazilian Olympic Committee - COB, playing two characters simultaneously on his play for student's audiences. With the revival A Privileged Party, she concluded with most of his colleagues and members of the famous Rio theatrical repertory company "The Privileged", new lecture of the great successes of 20 years from this group founded by director Antonio Abujamra at the Cacilda Becker Theater .
In the film industry she worked on national and international productions most notably Opera do Malandro (Brazil - France - USA); and Lambada The Forbidden Dance / Forbidden Dance (USA) production of 21st Century Studios, in Hollywood, North American city where the actress also worked as a guest artist, master of ceremonies and soloist in music shows, samba and Brazilian folklore performances, conventions, events and galas for stars of the film industry and worldwide television.
Angel Morsi has worked successfully in Theatre, Movies, Radio and Television, especially in appearances on TV Globo International in the novel The Force Of A Desire and programs The Stooges, Direct Line and Brave People.
